Get Your Tan On!

Ok ladies (and gents, because we know you like a tan too, don’t lie, Craig) let’s talk about them tans (or lack there of). Summer is officially over (insert sigh here) and unfortunately, so are our tans (oh, holy paleness).

I refuse to use a tanning bed. After years of doing so, I now have sunspots. Which I’ve spent hundreds of dollars removing, all for them to re-appear (note: they’ll never fully disappear, so save your money!) so it’s never too late to protect! AND literally fake that bake!

I’ve tried just about every self tanner on Target shelves. I keep coming back to one self tanner that holds up its end of the bargain.

St. Tropez Mousse – is my favorite product of all self tanners and here’s a few reasons why:

One, it smells good, not amazing, but definitely not bad! (good luck to finding a self-tanner that doesn’t have a scent). Two, it’s easy to apply, literally takes only a few minutes. Three, it doesn’t streak, unlike most I’ve used. Four, it gives you a quick, yet gradual tan, you determine how dark you want to be. Yay!

I’ve oh-so graciously linked the Self Tanner AND a YouTube video for application ease. (I actually followed this same video & and it’s a perfect demonstration for application).

As for my personal application schedule: if I know I’ll get a shower that night (that sounds awful, but that’s REAL life for mommas), I’ll apply late-afternoon (let it set 4-8 hrs), and shower that evening.

There is also a Starter Kit, which includes a small mousse, mitt, exfoliate, and lotion. However, I’ve found if you purchase a mitt, and the large Mousse, and use your own exfoliate and lotion- it’s a much better deal.

The winter will thank you – as well as your man 😉
